IN religion the topic of slavery comes up several times. I was asked to find five pro and anti slavey quotes from the Bible. I found that there where more pro-slavery quotes supporting than non-suportive. This I thought was odd becuase God preaches that all his creations are made equal
"Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found in possession of him, shall be put to death." Exodus 21:16
"Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to the good and gentle but also to the unjust" 1 Peter 1:18
“If your brother becomes poor beside you and sells himself to you, you shall not make him serve as a slave" Leviducus 29:39
"Slaves, obey in everything whose who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the lord" Colossians 3:22
"When you buy a Hebrew slave,, he shall serve six years, mad in the seventh he shall go out free, for nothing." Exodus 21:2
